Michelle instantly had an aura that separated her from the rest of the pack. She was taller, had more of an athletic build, and had an energetic smile, which in return, made me smile... for one reason or another. So, she was my pick. It was Michelle, and the fiery red-head, Christy Hemme. Week in, and week out, Michelle was given a task to shine upon RAW and garnish viewers votes. I was sold on the idea of McCool becoming a WWE Diva, so votes from me were a lock-in. Unfortunately, Michelle was booted from the competition much too early. When she was cut, I honestly figured that it would be the last we'd hear from her. That was that, and as most of us already know, Christy Hemme was crowned our Diva Search winner. Pretty pleased, by all means.
When news had surfaced online that WWE had signed a couple of Divas from the Search, I was ecstatic to read Michelle's name! Maria Kanellis, Joy Giovanni, Candice Michelle, Amy Weber, etc... none of them had made me anticipate a debut like Michelle's. Once Michelle did make her debut, I was more than thrilled! I couldn't get enough of her -- by any means! There was the girl I had invested time in, by tracking her career post-WWE, and submitting votes in weekly. She had finally made it. It wasn't long before I wanted to stand tall and loud, and show my support for Michelle.
Prior to the 2004 RAW Diva Search, I had closed a website in honor of Terri Runnels (Sultry She-Devil), and while it sadden me to do so, I felt I needed to. I couldn't keep up, I was losing interest, and I felt as though I wasn't very good at it. Needless to say, Terri had just departed from WWE... making it even harder to track her career updates. Just before I made the decision to close the website, Terri Runnels herself had contacted me! We exchanged e-mails regularly, so my interest peaked to an all-new high. However, it wasn't long before the flame went out once again. And thus, made the decision to officially close it. To this day, I still entertain the idea of opening the website once again, and setting it up as a tribute website. One day, perhaps we shall see...
I felt a void. I missed the idea of tracking someone's career, someone that was active and held my interest. Not just as an entertainer, but as a person too. I had the idea of making a website dedicated to either Christy Hemme or Michelle McCool. For the longest time, I would ponder the pros and cons. Would I be able to invest the time and energy a proper website demands? And to who would I want to support with a website? While Christy Hemme was immensely popular at the time, I figured Michelle McCool would be my best bet. She was just another 'nameless' face in a crop of new WWE hires to people. Taking on the task of helping Michelle gain more exposure, even if it's just online... was a task I was willing to take on!
And the rest, as they say... is history!
